Your journey begins in the afternoon when we pick you up from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, taking you to the safari base where your Sand Buggy adventure begins. After a short briefing and test ride, you’ll set off on a 25 km journey through the majestic desert, riding across the sand dunes with stunning views of the Red Sea Mountains all around you. The ride takes about an hour or more, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the freedom and exhilaration of the open desert.
Arriving at the authentic Bedouin village, you’ll be welcomed with warm hospitality and a taste of Bedouin tea, a cultural symbol of peace and tradition. Learn about the Bedouin lifestyle, how they survive in harsh environments using natural herbs, and explore the traditional Bedouin pharmacy. For those interested, there’s an optional visit to the wild reptiles museum for a small additional fee.
You’ll also enjoy a short camel ride of about 10 minutes — a traditional way to explore the desert just as the Bedouins have done for centuries. As the sun begins to set, you’ll pause to take stunning photos against the golden desert sky, capturing moments that will stay with you forever.
Then it’s time for the return sand buggy journey — another 25 km across the desert as the sun sets behind the mountains, offering a breathtaking panoramic view. Your guide will make a stop for more sunset photos in the middle of the sands.
Back at the camp, the night comes alive with an oriental entertainment show including traditional Arabic music, belly dancing, and tanoura performances, all set under the stars in a peaceful desert camp atmosphere. Meanwhile, you’ll enjoy a delicious oriental buffet dinner with a variety of Egyptian dishes.
By the end of the night, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel, confident that you’ve experienced one of the most exciting and meaningful evenings of your visit to Hurghada.
